Molly Moloney, Director of Policy and Data - Local Impact
Why I GO
I GO because I believe that educational equity and justice requires honest, data-driven self-reflection to guide action, and partnering/uplifting the voices and experiences of families and students.

Molly Moloney

Director of Data and Policy, Local Impact Team

Molly is a Richmond resident, curriculum & data nerd, and mother of teenage twins. Early in her career she worked as a sociologist, researching and publishing about youth and young adult issues–particularly drug consumption, gang involvement, and intersections with gender, sexuality, and racial/ethnic identities. Afterwards, she transitioned to supporting youth and families in Richmond/West Contra Costa area schools through work as an elementary educator, an instructional coach supporting Literacy/ELA and ELD teachers, and as an Assessment and Compliance Administrator.

She is excited that her work as Director of Data and Policy at GO brings together her passions and work from both phases of her previous careers.

The members of our Leadership Council are Oakland natives, residents, parents, grandparents, former teachers, principals, and alumni of Oakland public schools. Our leaders have deep connections to Oakland and strong backgrounds in education. The Leadership Council supports and guides our work in the best interest of Oakland students.
