Board

Roger currently serves as the VP of Digital Strategy, Business Planning and Operations for Disney | ABC Television Group. In this role, he oversees strategy, audience development, and program management initiatives focused on growing and innovating DATG’s digital portfolio of apps and websites. His team also develops management analytics and drives transformation initiatives across entertainment and news properties.

 

Previously, Roger helped lead product strategy for Gracenote, a media technology company, where he focused on personalization, analytics, and cross-media discovery. Roger also worked as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company and received his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to joining the GO Board, Roger served as a founding Board Member of Camp Phoenix, a free academics-focused outdoor camp for under-served students in the Bay Area.

The members of our Leadership Council are Oakland natives, residents, parents, grandparents, former teachers, principals, and alumni of Oakland public schools. Our leaders have deep connections to Oakland and strong backgrounds in education. The Leadership Council supports and guides our work in the best interest of Oakland students.
