Why I GO
"Growing up in Fresno, in a low-income single parent household, I know how instrumental a quality education was to me in finding a pathway out of poverty. I believe that every child regardless of socioeconomic status, race, location, or primary language deserves a quality education. Change is possible."

Why public education?

Public education has the opportunity to be a great equalizer, offering every child an equal opportunity to thrive. Our system currently operates to reinforce the inequalities that already exist in our society. I believe that change is possible, and that our community has both the power and the capacity to make schools work for all kids.

How I GO

As a part of the GO Team, I have the privilege of sharing family’s stories and creating a platform for their voices. Hearing stories of family’s struggles with obtaining quality education for their children is a constant reminder why I GO. I also play a role in helping families, educators, and community members access and understand data about the district’s progress so that can make educated decisions and advocate for themselves.
