I have been working in the nonprofit sector for nearly my entire 10+ year career, working in environment, social justice and now education! Nonprofit communications is my bread and butter, and I love working with teams to develop new, impactful ways to speak to our audiences. I’m also a proud Oakland resident, mom to a spirited little girl, and dog lover. On the weekends, I enjoy getting outdoors as much as possible and spending time with family and friends.
Why public education?
I am a product of and passionate advocate for California public education. This commitment has been re-invigorated by my personal experience as a mother to a future OUSD student. It’s an honor to be a part of the effort to deliver quality education to my daughter, her peers, and all Oakland kids.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
What are your vices? Wine, cheese, and bad reality TV (wow, I am such a cliché).
