As we continue to build spaces for family leadership across California, GO Public Schools is launching our first Affinity Family Leadership Program (FLP), created specifically for Special Education families.

This 6-session virtual series is an opportunity to:

  • Take a deep dive into Special Education student outcomes and data.
  • Explore how school and SELPA governance systems impact opportunities for Special Education students and families.
  • Build a learning community with other Special Education parents and caregivers across the state.

Each session will offer tools, reflection, and connection, helping families grow their advocacy skills and collective power to create lasting change in education.

Session Dates: February 11, 18, 25 | March 4, 11, 18

Time: 5:00PM – 7:00PM

RSVP: bit.ly/SPEDFLP

This is the second of three new affinity FLPs that will center the voices and needs of specific family communities.

  • African American Families (Completed in Fall 2025)
  • Special Education Families (Winter 2026)
  • Families Navigating Reclassification (Spring 2026)

Let’s grow, learn, and lead together.
